We always feel something when we — have a date with a loved one, share our thoughts with a friend, receive greeting cards on our birthdays, smile to a shy neighbor, shower our homes with laughter, or drive around a scenic national park.

Even in our sleep, our dreams trigger various emotions — from anger and fear to excitement and joy.

Like the setting of the sun, emotion exists in our natural midst and without it, life can be boring. So we should get to know it. We should use it to advance our cause. If we don’t, it will simply overpower our resolve.

Anger for instance is normal and everyone feels angry for different reasons. When your child goes home with a poor mark, you get upset because you realize he spends more time playing video games than reading his school text. When a speeding car cuts you off in a highway, you will not only feel angry, you’ll get “MAD”!

However, uncontrolled anger can be destructive. If you grab your son and hit him with a right hook because of his poor grade; or if you chase and bump another car for cutting you off, then you allow anger to schedule your vacation in jail. Also, you let your emotion dictate the outcome of your life.

How many families have broken up simply because couples can’t control their emotions? They exchange blows more often than they go to church. Some bicker more often than they eat meals together. How many kids grow up with low self-esteem just because parents can’t stop their untamed tongue from unwarranted ridicule — putting their kids down, calling them unprintable names?

When you let unrestrained emotion guide your destiny and life decisions, then you may be in a big trouble along the way. However, when you recognize and manage your emotions and those of others appropriately, then you guarantee your personal and professional growth.

Developing emotional intelligence should be prioritized at home and at work. Through its four basic principles of self-awareness (knowing one’s emotions), self-management (controlling one’s emotions), social awareness (recognizing the emotions of others), and relationship management (honing social skills), people can make use of their emotion to enhance relationships and to pursue success.

Emotion not only serves a special purpose in our lives, it also sets us apart from other creatures and makes us human with unlimited possibilities. So tame it, befriend it, lead it, and love it. Very soon, emotion will be your ally.

Meditation Techniques – Know About the Easiest Techniques

Know, understand, and believe yourself if you have to understand others better, advice the author as he unravels the mysteries of the human soul.

Have you ever wondered why do you exist? How did you come about? Was there any need for you to exist? You are such a marvel! These are peculiar questions that have no real answers. But the fact is that you survive – whether anybody wants it or not, whether you can fulfill certain roles or not.

You are a mystery for survival. You have been given this life to live, to create, to rejoice – to do everything that is possible. Don’t you value this significant occasion? Or are you not bothered at all?

Most people live their lives as if they are not concerned at all. Life is there, it is taken for granted, and it is wasted in routine, in ignorance. Such a valuable fortune, and it is not valued at all.

So, when you wake up in the morning, pause for a while, and meditate before you are caught up in the vortex of activity. Feel grateful that life has given you one more chance to live it differently. Feel grateful that in spite of everything you have been doing, existence is still interested in you and wants you to carry on. Have respect for existence and love for yourself. Existence loves you and needs you. Let your love reach every cell of your being and energize it.

Before you start showering your love on others, begin with yourself. It is always easier to love others than one self, as one keeps finding faults with one self and always feels insufficient. But do you understand that you are present in survival because existence wants you to be there – the way you are.

Existence inflicts no conditions on you. It loves you categorically – whether you are a sinner or a saint. It accepts as you are – in your totality. The sun, the moon, the stars, and all in nature accept you. Learn from nature and believe yourself.

 When you wake up in morning, just wash your face and look into the mirror. Look at your self as if you are looking at your adored, or at a child. Let your heart speak from your eyes and look with amazing joy at who you are. For some instant, forget everything and be with yourself. These are the rare moment when you can pour all your love at yourself and feel blessed.

This is a Meditation technique to create a new rhythm in your life. Keep in mind: such a lovely beginning will definitely make you love everybody. You will breathe love. Your very vibe would be that of love. The magnet of love will work speculate – you will get back love a thousand folds. There can be no other more powerful Meditation techniques than love. Love Is God.

Meditation Techniques

Meditation techniques are many and varied.  Thanks to modern technology like the Internet, we able to learn about hundreds of different types in a very short time.  

Sometimes this leaves us confused about which one is the best.  Well, all meditation techniques are good, but are they all good for you?  Only ‘you’ can answer the question, “which one is best for me”.  

One popular form of meditation technique is TM, or Transcendental Meditation.

TM was devised in the 1950s by a yogi named Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and was made internationally popular because the famous British band The Beatles went to India to immerse themselves in the practice.

Of course, you don’t need to fly all the way around the world to enjoy the benefits of this meditation technique.  The technique prides itself on its simplicity and effortlessness.  In just 20 minutes a day, practitioners of this technique claim to reap all of its rewards.  There are several websites and several centers around the world where you can learn how to integrate this particular meditation into your life.
