Three Easy Meditation Techniques

Why look for easy meditation techniques? After all, doesn’t good meditation practice take time and effort and self discipline? Perhaps, but before a person is ready to make that commitment he or she may want to have a little taste of what the results might be. In other words, start with one of these easy meditations and you might discover that you want more.

Mini-Meditation

This is the easiest and quickest of the three. Just find a quiet place and stop any time during your day to take several deep slow breaths. Close your eyes and let the tension drain from your body as you breath deeply through your nose. A minute later you’re done.

Do this several times throughout the day. Although you’ll get none of the more profound effects of deeper meditation, you will find that it relaxes you and clears your mind. To amplify the latter effect, choose to think about something encouraging as you go back to your work. Anything will work, because the point is primarily to change whatever is on your mind, to refocus your attention for the moment. This reminds you that you can choose where to place your attention.

Breath Watching

This is another easy meditation techniques which you can use in any quiet place. This one will take about five to ten minutes though. Just as with the first, you can start by closing your eyes and breathing deeply through your nose. You should also release tension from your muscles as much as you can. Sometimes tensing them up and then releasing helps.

This time you’ll pay attention to your breath. After a few deep inhalations, just allow your breathing to fall into a comfortable and natural pattern. Pay attention to the air coming and going from your nostrils, and let other thoughts fade away.

When other thoughts and images do come into your consciousness, simply bring your attention gently back to your breath. Continue this for about five to ten minutes, or until your mind settles down and the intruding thoughts are less frequent. Then take a deep breath as you slowly open your eyes and reorient yourself to your surroundings.

This short meditation may make things appear a bit different – fresher or newer. Notice that you are still you without your thoughts. If you are interested and like the effect, this can be extended into a longer mediation session.

Use Brainwave Entrainment

Many years ago people noticed that certain music was conducive to a meditative state. It was later discovered that this was due to the effect the musical beats had on the brainwaves of the listener. Essentially it slowed them down into the “alpha” state which is associated with meditation – and also passed through every time you go into deeper brainwave patterns and finally sleep.

Eventually this knowledge was used to create brainwave entrainment technologies. You can buy it in the form of meditation CDs or MP3 recordings. Of the three of these easy meditation techniques, this is by far the easiest. You just put on headphones, play the CD, and it takes you into a meditative state. If you lay down these CDs will almost certainly put you to sleep as well.

Empower yourself With Intuition: Five Steps to Develop your Sixth Sense

I am a psychiatrist who specializes in intuition. When patients come to see me, I listen to them with my intellect as well my intuition, a potent form of inner wisdom not mediated by the rational mind. Accessible to all, it’s a still, small voice inside-an unflinching truth-teller committed to our well-being. Sometimes I experience it as a snap-shot-like flash, a gut feeling, a hunch, a physical sensation, a dream. Whatever the form, it is always a friend, keeping a steady eye on our bodies and spirits, letting us know if something is out of sync.

As a psychiatrist I see many people with everything material they can ever want, and still they feel lost. What’s missing is a palpable connection with their intuitive voice, one that will always guide them in an empowered direction. I believe that without this connection, it’s impossible to lead a truly passionate life, based on instinct and authentic inner knowledge. I’ve written Dr. Judith Orloff’s Guide to Intuitive Healing: Five Steps to Physical, Emotional, and Sexual Wellness as a primer on how everyone can develop intuition and utilize it as a powerful tool for living. Intuition is not something I simply teach my patients. It has become a way of life for me. The magic of intuition is that it insists you live in the moment with no expectations, a continuing freshness. Intuition is our birthright, available to everyone. To access it, I’ve developed five steps that can be applied to any issue you’ll ever confront from healing your body, to riding a roller-coaster of emotions to sexual awakening. I live by these five steps I suggest you give them a try. My hope is that they will bring you the joy and clarity you’ve been searching for.

Step 1: Notice Your Beliefs

Your beliefs set the stage for healing. Positive attitudes stimulate growth. Negative attitudes impede it. It’s important to rid yourself of counterproductive attitudes that you may not even realize you have. If you examine your beliefs, choose life-enhancing ones, you’ll create optimal wellness. No organ system stands apart from your thoughts. Your beliefs program your neurochemicals. You must know that you can tune into intuition which can promote your health and healing.

Step 2: Be In Your Body

Your body provides vital information about intuition. You must make a commitment to listen to what your body says. Ask yourself, “Does my energy go up or down around someone?” Is my gut giving me a “beware signal” or do I feel comfortable around someone?’ Does my gut feel good about a decision? Pay attention to these signs. Most people in Western society are conditioned to live from the neck up, ignoring the rest of their body. This stance is counter-intuitive. I’d like you to shift that perspective become more aware of early warning signs your body sends. This gives you a head-start on preventing illness and pain, warding off panic and choosing healthy relationships.

Step 3: Sense Your Body’s Subtle Energy

We are made up of energy which can be sensed with intuition. Chinese Medical Practitioners call this “chi,” a vital substance which penetrates the body and extends many feet beyond it. From an intuitive point of view, these vibrant energy fields, whose centers are called chakras have a significant effect on our health. For that reason, it is important that we learn to sense this energy within us, recognize when it is off, and learn to correct the imbalance. The best way to start sensing energy is to be aware of the “vibes” people give off. Always grativate to people you’re most comfortable with.

Step 4: Ask for Inner Guidance

We each possess an intuitive voice that contains answers about our healing. Because our intellect is often so loud, this voice often gets drowned out. It’s essential that we learn to access the stillness within–though meditation, quite contemplation, connecting with nature, prayer-in order to gain answers about our health. Spend a few minutes each day devoted to listening to this voice. It may appear as a gut feeling, a hunch, an image, a sound, a memory, an instant knowing-as if a light bulb suddenly switched on. Learn to trust the signals your inner wisdom sends.

Step 5: Listen To Your Dreams

Intuition is the language of dreams. Every ninety minutes each night during the REM stage of sleep, we dream. Dreams provide answers about health, relationships, career choices, any new direction. The secret is to remember them. I suggest keeping a dream journal by your bed. Before you go to sleep, ask a dream a question. For instance, “Is this relationship healthy for me or should I move on?” The next morning, write down any dreams immediately before getting out of bed. Try repeating the question, every night for the next week until your answer comes. As you develop the habit of remembering dreams, you’ll be able to benefit from this form of healing. As a physician, I have a continual sense of awe for the relationship between body and spirit. As your heat opens, so does your intuition. Your intuition will teach you how to see and how to love. It will instill in you a renewed faith to face anything.

A Simple Meditation Technique For Beginners

Many individuals who approach the idea of beginning meditation are often worried that the practice will be difficult, or that they will not be able to concentrate enough to get out of it what they are hoping. While these are understandable concerns because no one wants to waste their time on unsuccessful endeavors, the actual practice of meditation can be much more simple than what many realize. For those that are just starting out and would like to determine if meditation is really for them there are a number of simple techniques that can be tried in order to make such a determination.

The idea of meditation is to clear the mind and make room for the subconscious and/or the unconscious to work on its own. Although this clearing of the mind is often explained as not thinking of anything you will soon find that such a task is nearly impossible. By telling your mind to not think of anything your mind will actually do the opposite and think of everything so a different approach to clear the mind must be taken. One way to help clear the mind is to think of only one thing. Although thinking of something doesn’t seem to quite meet the criteria for clearing the mind you would be surprised at how much this can slow and relax the mind which is ultimately the result you want for successful meditation. This technique leads to a simple beginning practice for meditation and can be achieved by anyone.

The whole idea surrounding this more simple technique of meditation is to become one with a particular object that you wish to concentrate on. A great example of this is to become the trowel while gardening, or the spoon while stirring a pot of soup. Whatever the object may be you just have to be that object and the task that that object is performing. You must think of all the days worries or things to do during this process but only the object and the task at hand. The task can be anything that you can wholly immerse yourself in. It doesn’t have to be altogether quiet when you perform the particular task but you do not want any interruptions while you are attempting to concentrate. The activity should also be something that you do often so that you can practice your concentration on a daily basis. This will give you a better chance at being successful in your meditation attempts.

This is only a very simple introduction to the idea of meditation in is not intended to take the place of tried and true meditation techniques. For those that have never practiced meditation in the past this will give them a general idea of what meditation is realistically like. After practicing this technique for a short time you will most likely find yourself wanting to and being able to move on to more traditional meditation practices. This technique will begin the path to discovering the true meaning of meditation.

Top 8 Reasons Why the Sixth Sense is the Key to Enlightenment

When you think of the great enlightened masters, they all seem to share many similar traits: Unusually intelligent, charismatic, can do miraculous things, and they all exhibited the use of the Psychic Sense.

The Psychic Sense or Sixth Sense is anything that excels beyond ‘basic’ sensory.

* So a dog that can always sense when its owner is coming home,

* Waking up in the middle of the night and feeling something is ’strange’,

* Or you and a friend laughing about how you were both thinking of Blue Oyster Cult, are all examples of the Sixth Sense in use.

Let me make clear that the Sixth Sense is natural and scientific, not mystical and unexplainable. It’s your body’s ability to pick up on fine energies, or ‘wavelengths’, that have yet to be detectable by today’s crude electronic instruments -and yet, the body, being a sensitive supercomputer, can.

And because it’s a bodily sense, like any muscle or brain tissue, if you don’t use it, it will atrophy. While if you use it, it will develop quickly.

So here we go!

1. The Sixth Sense allows you to feel and detect things BEYOND the basic 5 senses.

If you only use the five basic senses for interpreting this world…

* Taste

* Touch

* Smell

* Sound

* Sight

…Everything you can know and understand will remain as basic as everyone else’s.

But with the Sixth Sense you can feel and see energy, sense thoughts, anticipate emerging situations, and many, many other things!

Everybody already has this sense naturally; they just have no idea how to use it nor are they aware of its value.

Imagine going your whole life as deaf, then all the sudden being able to hear; any idea what that would be like?

You would now detect a whole new dimension to EVERYTHING! The leaves on trees make a rustling sound, the sounds in the distance tell me what’s going on in the next room or miles away – Everything would change!

That’s what its like to have an active Psychic Sense; you gain a normally-hidden layer of understanding to everything. It truly is a superior advantage!

And with a little practice the Sixth Sense becomes a natural part of all your senses. Imagine how your world would change with this new ability to observe.

How much faster would you become Enlightened having a new sense?

2. The Sixth Sense allows you to Communicate with ‘God’.

Spiritual people of all kinds long for communion with God.

God doesn’t have the means of communicating as humans do. But God can communicate through ‘Vibration’ or Energy. This form of communication is very real and can fulfill those who seek it.

It’s called ‘learning to listen’, and you do it by quieting your mind and paying attention to extremely subtle forms of inner-sensation. This is a skill that takes some refinement to achieve, but is not hard with the right training. Meditation is a great way to learn how to do this.

The key that makes it all possible is the Sixth Sense, because you ‘listen’ by feeling, which is the basis of the Sixth Sense. Learn to allow your subtle sensory to pick up on these kinds of ‘Vibratory Information’ and soon you will feel closer to ‘The One’ than you ever have.

3. The Sixth Sense lifts the veil of How Things Work.

The Sixth Sense is a tremendous Learning Accelerator.

By applying your new sense to techniques that use it, such as OBEs, Psychometry, Assimilation, or Remote Viewing, you suddenly can explore the inner-workings of the ‘Matrix’ of this dimension.

For example, Psychometry brings you face-to-face with Sixth Sense data, Remote Viewing shows how mobile the mind actually is, and Assimilation offers you the living experience of another thing.

The experiences from such techniques can be very powerful and will force you to reconsider the world you thought you knew – This is the essence of ‘Awakening’.

Say there are some scientists racing to calculate a theory for the Big Bang. And let’s say, because they are all very smart and are fairly conventional, all use the five basic senses to draw conclusions and thus are able to bring, say, five variables per sense for their calculation.

25 variables to calculate the Big Bang.

Now, let’s say you come along, as a scientist also tackling the Big Bang theory. But maybe you wear Birkenstocks and are not so conventional, but you have an active Since Sense and are not afraid to use it.

Since the Sixth Sense is basically a super sensitive tool for gathering more data, you can then bring in another five variables for your calculation, because you are using one more natural sense that the others are not.

You have an advantage: 30 variables to calculate the Big Bang.

Some of the greatest scientists, teachers, and pioneers of our society have been shown to accept and use Sixth Sense data. When you hear, “I was being pulled in this direction” or “the chalk took on a life of its own” it’s a good indication of the intuition at work. But actually, it simply shows they are flexible thinkers who are able to use more resources.

4. The Sixth Sense tunes you into your ‘Inner Navigator’.

One of the best tools you have for finding what you need in life is the ‘little voice inside’. The Navigator is a part of your inner intuition that knows when something is right for you, when its time for a change, and sometimes when you simply need to do something that seems random but is actually very important.

But few people have learned to listen to it. After all, it’s hard to; that little voice is so often drowned out by our common thoughts and daily concerns.

However, building up the Sixth Sense gives your Navigator a bullhorn. Before you know it, you’ll have a new resource of confidence within yourself.

5. Superior Psychological Development

Enlightenment includes the pursuit of psychological and behavioral refinement. During this pursuit inner issues become evident and thus present the opportunity to handle them. But did you know that the further you peer into the self, the more essential the Sixth Sense becomes?

The state of meditation is the prime period for true self-observation. No other time are the necessary qualities for this observation present. The ability to quiet the mind and peer into your physical mechanisms is essential for identifying ‘dead weight’.

Past memories, unresolved injuries, false ideas, bad thought habits, long standing opinions, and limits in perception are some of the items that arise.

Conventional self-study and therapy can be important, but alone does not amount to the level of introspection required for a pupil of enlightenment. The Sixth Sense is absolutely essential in sensing the deep origins of ideas and the micro mechanics of the brain. Learning how to use it in this way will give you superior advantages.

For example, while using your Sixth Sense you can identify the presence of neurotransmitter stimulants or suppressors that routinely maintain behavior. This is important because when you know your thoughts are being controlled, you take back the power to guide your own mind.

Because the Sixth Sense deals with extremely subtle sensations, you are not dealing with thoughts or ideas – they are too crude and slow. The Sixth Sense can assess arrays of sensation all happening within the same moment. Someone practiced can target the item in question and consciously ‘zoom in’ to follow a path to a result.

6. Condition the Governor

Enlightenment is all about redefining your understanding of things because of new discoveries of personal experience. But as anyone who has attempted this will find, the brain already has a preferred way of seeing things, thank you very much.

This part of the brain that limits what it will allow you to see, feel, know, and redefine is called the ‘Governor’, named after the device that keeps cars from going over a certain speed.

The Governor’s job actually makes a lot of sense: it keeps you from seeing things that it considers ‘unnecessary’, like the veins in your eyes, and even certain stimulus that could dangerously overload the brain.

The problem is that it also blocks you from seeing energy, it openly doubts your confidence in healing, and it works to convince you that your spiritual pursuits are in vain. Starting to see the dilemma?

This is where the Sixth Sense can help. By working with the Sixth Sense to establish ‘paranormal experiences’, these accumulated experiences teach the Governor to adapt to an ever-evolving reality.

If you can teach your Governor that the things you are learning are safe and real, paranormal experiences will get easier and progressively enhanced.

7. Physical Health and Bodily Communication.

Want to live longer and healthier? Learn to build a relationship with the cells of your body; they are living organisms too, with needs and desires. Help them and they’ll help you.

Think of your body like an economy. An economy needs different things to run: water, energy, stimulus, vegetables, love, and a lot of other things.

So what happens when your body needs something? Actually, it lets you know. But unless you have a way of paying attention, you won’t hear, and the economy falters.

Learning to ‘listen’ starts with basic awareness and spans into the use of the Sixth Sense. The Sixth Sense is a sensitive tool that can detect various subtle needs of the body. That whim you had yesterday for an Orange – did you act on it? Ever wonder where that craving came from? It could have been millions of living cells desiring a missing nutrient.

Now let me ask you something. If you can hear your body’s cells using the Sixth Sense, is it possible also to communicate back? Perhaps have them carry out orders? Fight Sickness?

Hmmmmm…

8. The Sixth Sense will preserve your life.

This section actually carries a dual meaning; the other being your spiritual life.

The more enlightened you become, the more you become a beacon of light. As you may know by now, forces resist this emergence.

Because the instinctual desire to live is so powerful, the natural Sixth Sense of the body has no problem peaking when threatened. No different than the deer that becomes skittish.

Additionally, many of the other tools of the Sixth Sense together form a protective net: Knowing the intentions of others, tracing all likely outcomes, the ability to act according to intuition – all tools brought by the Sixth Sense.

On lighter note, sometimes the Sixth Sense helps to preserve your immediate health. Being aware enough to know that that sandwich ‘just didn’t smell/feel/look right’ can be that deep knowingness that animals commonly display when in the same circumstance.

How to Get the Most Out of New Age Healing

There are many places and organizations that offer new age healing to their clients. They offer different methods to incorporate the lessons that can be learned through the techniques. Some methods work well on people, while other methods are not nearly as helpful. It is important to find a company that gives clients the best that the industry has to offer so they can experience all of the benefits. There are certain things to look for that will allow clients to get everything they want and need out of the techniques.

When people take advantage of the techniques offered with these methods, it is best to find a company that offers visual aids. Visual aids can stimulate the mind in ways that reading material cannot. Visual aids can also allow the imagination to be triggered, which can be an incredibly useful tool. It has been discovered that visual aids trigger the subconscious, which is very important with these types of techniques. It is necessary for the subconscious mind to be awakened.

Audio aids are also effective in new age healing. Just like visual aids, they can stimulate the mind and enter the subconscious in ways that reading material cannot. That makes them much more effective than books on the topic. One of the biggest concepts with this method is that the subconscious must be reached so it can be brought to the surface. Audio and visual aids can help reach the subconscious in a way that does not require much work for the user.

Effective methods will also stay on top of cutting edge techniques. A company that is effective will give users the newest techniques available. The company will grow as the industry grows. They will understand that there is always more to learn when it comes to new age healing. They will seek out new information and methods. That will allow the company to give their customers the techniques that will best help them.

Effective companies will also use methods of today, along with age old methods, in order to get the best techniques possible. By incorporating both kinds of methods, they will be able to better serve their clients. They will be able to give their clients the best of the new and the old in order to find an effective treatment for them that will work in all situations. Some of the best methods have been around for years, and by combining them with the methods of today, people can truly get the most out of the techniques.

Simone Zone offers the best in new age healing. They use visual and audio aids to help their clients. They also incorporate cutting edge technology into their methods.
